Description

My mum got admitted to Blackburn Hospital with a breathing condition due to her COPD , it was in covid when No visiting was allowed she kept in contact for a few days, then the contact stopped my daughter rang the hospital and the assured us she was ok, then only the day after they rang me for me to go in my daughters got there at 10am I arrived later we found they had given her midazolam and morphine , we said we didn’t want her in it, my mum at this time had the death rattle she told me she had rang the police, the hospital never mentioned this. I got my mum home at about 10 in the evening all the time we were there nobody gave my mum food or fluid she passed away in the morning at 6-20 , I made a complaint to the hospital had a meeting they reject the complaint about her care. They refused to admit their actions were the LCP, they denied that midazolam is a breathing suppressant and that they murdered my mum I also don’t think they gained informed consent as they were saying my mum was confused and agitated my complaint has been with the ombudsman
